Q: Where are you located?
A: The Hemophilia Treatment Center is located in Los Angeles, between the Staples Center and the University of Southern California. We are conveniently located near the 110, 10, 101 and 5 freeways. Please see the Contact Us page for map and directions.
Q: What are your hours and how do I get there?
A: We are opened from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. We have an Urgent Care for after-hours care from 7:00am to 11:00pm, 7 days a week. General questions about the Center can be answered by calling (213) 742-1402. Please see the Contact Us page for map and directions.
Q: How do I make an appointment?
A: Please call (213) 742-1402 to schedule an appointment. If you are a new patient, you will be asked to provide contact information, your birth date, insurance information, some medical history and the referring physician, if applicable.
Q: What kind of insurance do you accept?
A: The Center accepts most private insurance, government insurance and cash patients in special cases. Authorization is required. Please contact (213) 742-1679 to speak with our Insurance Coordinator for more information.
Q. Do you accept GHPP and CCS?
A: Yes, we do. Our Center is one of only 12 hemophilia centers approved by the State of California for Genetically Handicapped Persons Program and California Children’s Services to treat hemophilia.
Q: Do you have staff that can speak Spanish?
A: Yes, several members of our staff are fluent in Spanish. Translation services for other languages are also available.
Q: How long has the Center been opened?
A: The Hemophilia Treatment Center has been opened for over 35 years. Our Medical Director, Dr. Logan has been with the center for almost 20 years and Dr. Kasper (Emeritus Professor) has been with the center for over 35 years.
Q: Is there a pharmacy where I can fill my prescriptions?
A: Yes, there is an outpatient pharmacy open from 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. The pharmacy provides factor products, prescription medication and over-the-counter medication.
Q: Does your Center treat Joint Problems?
A: Yes. Our Center is part of the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Medical Center and we have orthopedic clinics twice a month. Please call (213) 742-1402 for more information and to schedule an appointment.
