The Everychild Playground was funded by a lead gift from the Everychild Foundation to accommodate children with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The nearly half acre, wheelchair friendly, playground features sturdy foam ground cover to protect children from falls, colorful slides, tubes, bridges, swings, interactive puzzles, a quiet area, a dragon mister and lush landscaping for children ages 2 to 12. Come to Mijares Mexican Restaurant at 145 Palmetto Drive, Pasadena on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm and support the fundraising efforts of LAOH’s support group, La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild. While you enjoy a delicious and authentic Mexican meal, a percentage of the proceeds will benefit La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild. You do not need to make a reservation nor inform the restaurant that you are there to support the fundraiser—you simply need to go enjoy a mouth-watering Mexican dinner!
Mijares Mexican Restaurant is Pasadena’s oldest and finest Mexican eatery, known for its authentic, traditional cuisine, famous margaritas, and festive patio dining. More than eighty years ago, however, the restaurant was only a small tortilla factory established by Jesucita Mijares after she fled from the Mexican revolution. Soon after, Jesucita added a tiny restaurant featuring her original recipes, tortillas, tamales, and sauces made with the metate stone grinder she carried from Mexico. Today, Mijares Mexican Restaurant in Pasadena continues to be a family-owned eatery upholding Jesucita’s tradition of treating every customer with the motto, “mi casa es su casa.”
We hope you’ll come enjoy the festive ambiance and delicious cuisine at Mijares Mexican Restaurant on Monday, April 30, 2012. Remember to invite friends, family, and colleagues as the higher the sales, the higher the donation percentage to our support group, La Cañada Flintride Orthopaedic Guild!
