Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Urgent Care provides essential emergency medical care to children with musculoskeletal injuries. The majority of patients are children with fractures. A unique benefit in Urgent Care is having an orthopaedic resident available to provide non-surgical treatment of children's fractures, enabling them to receive timely, efficient and appropriate care on-the-spot. More serious fractures requiring surgery are admitted to Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital.
After the initial fracture treatment in Urgent Care, children are seen for follow-up in one of the Children's Fracture Clinics in our Outpatient Medical Center.
